Summer helped me train for a half-marathon after months of downtime. I had spent the past couple years chasing 26.2s and was excited to approach 13.1 with that marathon experience under my belt. I was initially nervous because I only had one rest day per week, but the plan was so balanced that it didn’t feel overwhelming, and after just a couple of weeks, I settled into the routine. I’ve always struggled to prioritize strength training, so she put it early in the week before I was tired from runs or whatever surprises life threw my way.
